Floor lamp model "51", star-shaped base in white-lacquered cast aluminum housing a spherical brass ball-and-socket joint from which rises an angled telescopic shaft in brass tube terminating in a ring housing a diabolo shade (later). Edition Robert Mathieu. Circa 1955

HISTORICAL :
This is the first version of the famous "51" floor lamp with a white lacquered three-pointed starfish base. It was later lacquered black.
