Pascal-François Bertrand, Histoire de la Tapisserie, pp. 158, 159 & 203 Fig. 141.
The attributes of the border point to a man of Justice or Law, a magistrate or a member of Parliament. For example, the coat of arms in the upper left, "azure, demi-vol dextre d'argent posé en bande", suggests the Blanc de Luveaune family, which produced several councillors to the Parlement de Provence in Aix.
