Walnut armchair with a "Queen" back. The curved back is richly carved with flowers and foliage. The arm attachments are remarkably treated with a molded connection, and are cuffed, supported by "coup de fouet" arm brackets. The curved, leafy belt is adorned with a floral apron. The seat rests on a curved base.
Monogrammed with the letters A and N and a small cross on the outer rear crosspiece.
Parisian work of the Louis XV period.
Height : 93 cm. Depth : 55 cm. Width : 64 cm.
Provenance : Trégor manor.
Nota bene : Very fine carpentry in the form of a seat, decorated with fine carving reminiscent of the workshop of "Père Gourdin". This seat was created in natural wood, with a nasturtium finish that still exists in places. It has 18th-century strapping. Accents and small chips at the bottom of the legs. Gerce on the upper crosspiece.
