"Petrone's sporting life. Pedro "Perucho" Petrone was three-time world champion in 1924, 1928 and 1930 and two-time champion of America with the Uruguayan national team. The "romperedes" was a player of Club Nacional de Football and played two seasons in Fiorentina of Italy, where in 44 matches he scored 37 goals, being capo cannoniere of 31/32, and there he was nicknamed "l'Artillero".
