Sabin 58412 - The present edition is a curiosity on the history of book printing, as the copper title in the lower part shows a printing scene with a so-called anagnostes (reader), whose real existence was hereby cited as proof. The second part contains a long introductory chapter on America, important because of the remarks on the use of the term Novus orbis (New World). - Copper title with marginal section at top, somewhat browned, spotty and somewhat waterstained in places, some small worm marks. Inscription on front cover and title.
