(Without the clasps; heavily stained and darkened, flaws in the leather cover; some wormholes; capitals torn or torn out). Quite rare and reliable edition of the works of Flavius Josephus (37/38 a.d. - 100a.d.), the historian from a priestly-royal Jerusalem family who wrote in Greek and is considered the most important author of Hellenistic Judaism. Traces of moisture in the margins throughout. Title page somewhat short-margined and heavily stained. Overall an unfresh copy. Various ownership inscriptions on the inside cover.
