After studying in Leipzig, Keller (1500-1548) became chaplain in Wasserburg, Bavaria; in 1524 he had to leave Bavaria due to a preaching ban. After a short stay in Wittenberg, he came to Augsburg to the Franciscan church, where he worked until his death.
