A total of 12 parts with 324 copper plates published 1782-1795, here the first two (of 3) volumes on native fishes. - Some spotting, a few small losses, plate 6 with small glue stain. - Front inside cover of volume II with bookplate of Émile Bernard (1826-1897; cookbook author and personal cook of Wilhelm I). - First edition of the first 2 parts with description of German fish species. 2 volumes. With 72 folding colored plates. Contemp. card boards with gilt spine. - Partly stained, some slightly marginal tears, plate VI with small color defect. Binding rubbed and bumped, spine of vol II with defective spots. - Bookplate.
