This work is based on the Prospectus Magni Canalis Venetiarum published in Venice in 1735 by Pasquali (for Consul Smith), which contained fourteen views drawn and engraved by A. Visentini after paintings by Canaletto. (This work was published in an extended edition in 1742). - Right corner of rad. Title page with small loss and crease. (no loss of image). - Plate 1 of the first series probably missing. Rare. This work is based on the Prospectus Magni Canalis Venetiarum published in Venice in 1735 by Pasquali (for Consul Smith), which contained fourteen views drawn and engraved by A.
