in Australia (cover title). With 20 large-format, color photographs, by Philipp Stephan Photo-Litho. and Typographic Process Company, Sidney c. 1888. ca. 43 x 53 cm. Beginning with "Centennial International Exhibition, Melbourne 1888" (first sheet, therefore soiled), from Pl. 2 "Government House, Sydney" to Pl. 20 "Victoria Bridge, Melbourne" all sheets in good condition for their age. - Very rare. - Photographer Samuel Phillip and lithographic-printer Adam Stephan invented the color-printed photo-lithographic process, combining photography and lithography. Their company was active between 1887 and approximately 1910. - Very rare. D
