(German 1st half of the 19th century). Half-length portrait of a man with curly hair and whiskers, half-turned to the right. Gouache in high oval on leg. Approx. 6.8 x 5.2 cm. Verso depiction of friendship with putto with torch before a hexagonal stone pedestal, thereon bouquet of flowers and with the motto "Sey Du mir alles wieder" and lower left leaning oval panel with monogr. "J.Fr.G.". The portrait indistinctly sign. "Masius pinx." Both sides under glass in 14-carat yellow gold frame with suspension loop (tested), total dimensions approx. 7.3 x 5.7 cm. Weight 55.6 g. D
