(1844 Munkäcs - Endenich b. Bonn 1909) attributed to: Evening landscape with a cheerful hiker on the path. Oil on canvas, mounted on wooden panel. 49 x 40 cm. Signed lower left. "Munkacsy" (indistinct) lower left. Framed. As one of the most important Hungarian painters, Munkacsy was active in Paris, Munich and Düsseldorf, among other places. - Some craquelure. - Estimated by Sotheby's in 2003 at GBP 10,000-15,000.
