Wool velvet on cotton foundation.
Decor reminiscent of French soapmaking. Midnight-blue field decorated with three crenellated medallions inlaid with polychrome flower bouquets surrounded by symmetrical identical medallions. Four spandrels decorated with floral medallions. Five borders, the main one ivory, with garlands and bands of finely drawn flower bud stems.
(Slight natural oxidation).
