Gaul bust
Studio plaster cast designed for the group "Le Départ des volontaires" on the Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile in Paris, sculpted in 1833-36.
Handwritten inscriptions:
On the front cartel: "Le Départ des Volontaires bas-relief de l'Arc de Triomphe",
On the back, "Le Départ des Volontaires Arc de Tromphe, PARIS, Don de François RUDE".
On the back, on a label: "Tête de Gaulois - Départ des volontaires - Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile - Don de François Rude au Dr Blanc, transmis à Melle Gagnère Berthe sage-femme à Saulon le Chapelle qui en a fait don à Suzanne avant de mourir à la fin de la guerre 39-45".
