This statuette reproduces the sign of a clock, jewelry and watchmaking boutique founded in 1797 and located at 19 boulevard Saint-Denis, now in the collections of the Musée Carnavalet. At the time, it was a clock model in vogue from 1810-1820, attributed to Thomire and depicting Toussaint Louverture.
