Philippe Garnier de la Baudinière was born in Blois in 1955. In Paris, his frequent visits to painters and museums and his meeting with Bernard LORJOU, leader of the Val de Loire School from 1973, formed the basis of his artistic culture. Philippe GARNIER de la BAUDINIERE's work is rooted in geometric abstraction.
In 2018, the artist was chosen by the architectural firm Jean Michel WILMOTTE for the restoration project at the Hôtel Lutétia in Paris. His monochromes hang in numerous suites overlooking Boulevard Raspail. In 2018, the artist was chosen by the Bollinger holding company for their château in the Sancerrois region, and most recently by Atelier 27 in Paris for the Claridge Hotel in London and the Royal Mansour Palace in Casablanca.
An exhibition of his work was held in August 2023 at Place des Lices in Saint Tropez.
