Sigmund Lympasik

Framed under glass. From 1938 Lympasik was a student at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Berlin-Charlottenburg. He took part in the Second World War as a soldier in the Wehrmacht, including in France. He returned from captivity as a prisoner of war in 1947. Back in Berlin, he studied at the Berlin Academy. In 1951, Lympasik was awarded the Berlin Art Prize.
