Schloss Gottorf, Stiftung und Besitz. Schleswig 1989. Janssen studied from 1946-51 under Prof. Mahlau at the Kunsthochschule in Hamburg. He received several prizes for his graphic work, including the Art Prize of the City of Darmstadt in 1964. His work has been exhibited internationally, and the Horst Janssen Museum in Oldenburg was opened in November 2000.
