Rectangular gilded silver chase, standing on four flattened spherical feet. The body is embossed with scenes from the life of Christ (Nativity/Adoration of the Shepherds, Baptism, Crucifixion and Resurrection) framed by archangels. The lid, with a stave and raised rim, is chased with acanthus leaves, flowers and cherubs' heads. The body and lid are adorned with cut colored glass. Blood jasper cabochon in the center of the lid.
