In chased ormolu, richly decorated with three loves garlanded with flowers, drapery and trimmings, on clouds. The enamelled circular dial, signed with Arabic and Roman numerals, stands on a canal base, decorated with foliage and a knotted ribbon.
The trapdoor giving access to the movement is also in gilt bronze, chased, with rich relief decoration of a bouquet in bloom.
