Comprising a glazed cartel, surmounted by a circular vase with twisted canals, the scrolled grips terminating in masks of the God Hermes, on leafy claw feet, the enamelled dial with Arabic and Roman numerals surmounted by a knotted ribbon and vases in the round, The sides are richly decorated with vine shoots, acanthus leaves and scrolled flowers, the lower part is decorated with wheat ears, flower baskets and leafy garlands, on a hoofed base surrounding a woman's head, her hair tied back. On a grey veined marble base.
A pair of candelabras with seven foliate arms, some in the form of winged victorious busts, the torso shaft topped by a covered vase, a foliate plume and a scale motif. Note. The Thiebaut brothers began working as art founders in 1851 under the supervision of Victor Thiebaut. He quickly began to build relationships and produce works for some of the most famous sculptors of the time: Carpeaux, Pradier and Carrier-Belleuse.
In 1884, the company opened a store at 32 avenue de l'Opéra, and at the same time took part in international exhibitions, including the Paris Exposition Universelle of 1889 and the Chicago Exposition of 1893, where their bronzes were described as "marvels of casting, chasing and patina".
