Charming veneered wood lady's flap desk opening at the top with a drawer above a flap revealing five niches and four small drawers. The green leather-covered flap forms a writing desk decorated with foliate scrolls. It opens at the bottom with a drawer in the waistband, topped by a sinuous spandrel shelf holding four tapered cutaway legs. Richly ornamented with gilded and chased bronzes such as bas-reliefs depicting a bacchanal with putti after Duquesnoy, handles decorated with bouquets of flowers, and key escutcheons decorated with ribbons, flowers, eagles' heads and vine bulbs.
