Wardrobe with two curved doors and shagreen-covered side panels with ormolu keyhole and circular socket featuring stylized female bas-relief decoration. Rosewood veneer structure, top and wide-plinth cut-out legs. Interior with sycamore veneer shelves. 105cm x 40cm and height 164cm. Circa 1945, to be compared with a set of furniture commissioned by the wife of actor Jules Berry to furnish their Paris apartment at the same time. Marks of use, significant sagging at a corner in the upper part and missing glaze.
