The diurnal is the prayer book containing the day's office. During the 18th century, bishops tended to publish their own diocesan liturgy books, with local variants adapting the rite to a particular diocese, monastery or religious order. These liturgies remain essentially Roman, but the additions (prefaces, prayers, hymns, office of local saints...) invite us to designate them as "Romano-French", tinting them with "regional" culture.
Binding slightly rubbed and stained, anecdotal browning on a few leaves, but a fine copy nonetheless.
