Contains issues no. 1 to 12, all with covers: Infantry - Cavalry - Engineers and Train Crews - Artillery - Navy - Paris Fire Brigade - Republican Guard Legion - French Army.
Légion de la Garde républicaine - Les invalides - Armée d'Afrique, comprising some 180 letterpress plates in black and color
from a series of photographs.

French Armies", featuring the great scenes and battles
battles of the revolutionary armies, from 1792 to 1801,
based on drawings and paintings.
12 issues with covers preserved, representing some 140 typographed scenes in black and color.
Slight wear and faded spine, but a good copy that remains virtually as issued.
A fine set, rarely found complete or reunited with
Victoires et Conquêtes.

A few weakened leaves and anecdotal stains, but a good copy of this original edition.
