Paris, Librairie Larousse. 2 volumes in publisher's full red, black and gilt historiated percaline, square in-12 format, patterned spines, gilt edges. 248 and 256 pp, numerous amusing black illustrations. Arthur Good (1853-1928) was a French engineer and author of articles for L'Illustration, but above all of this highly successful popularization success of the years 1890-1914. The champagne bottle has pride of place... Charming little volumes, despite slight wear (binding rubbed). Some spotting and foxing to pages, sometimes a little detached, but not detracting from the pleasure of owning them... Expert: Madame Aude de Sèvedavy.
