Bronze 42 x 33 mm.; With original ribbon; original name: Médaille du Prisonnier de Guerre; Medal of the combatant 1940-1945. was established by royal decree on December 19, 1967. Awarded to soldiers and officers of the Belgian armed forces who were based in Great Britain after the occupation of Belgium by Nazi troops in 1940 and its liberation in 1945. In addition to the standard version of the medal, tailcoat and miniature versions, as well as award strips, were provided. The awards also included fastenings in the form of two crossed sabers for direct participation in hostilities.; Condition-I; (KW1859)
