Officer's cavalry saber, model 1827, Armed Forces of the Russian Empire. Russian industrial production of saber blade, hilt and scabbard. Manufactured by Zlatoust. The mark on the blade is "Zlatoust"/“Златоустъ” and “1877”. Total length - 1066mm. The length of the blade with the handle (without sheath) is 1016mm. Blade length without handle - 871mm. The width of the blade at the heel is 35mm. Sheath length - 923mm. Materials and manufacturing techniques: steel, forging, hardening, wood, stamping, casting, glue, brass, leather, grinding, carving, turning, abrasive material, nickel plating, rawhide (alcohol) leather, drawing. The saber blade is steel, forged, hardened, with a medium bend of the strip, with a double-edged leaf-shaped combat end, with two fullers in the middle part of the blade, nickel-plated.
