Oil on panel. Origin: - Madrid, former Raimundo Ruiz collection; - Madrid, private collection. Bibliography: Post, Chandler Rathfon, "The schools of Aragon and Navarra in the Early Renaissance", A History of Spanish Painting, vol. XIII, 1966, p. 28, fig. 10. This panel, from a disintegrated altarpiece dedicated to Saint Blaise, was attributed by Post to an unknown painter identified as the Master of Huesca. This author shows the influence of Miguel Ximenez (documented between 1462 and 1505), although it still presents abundant reminiscences of FLEMISH taste, which can be seen in the decorative meticulousness and in the type of broken folds, reflecting features of an incipient Renaissance in the volumetric treatment of the figures and in certain decorative details. Measurements: 84 x 66 cm.
