RARE FIRST EDITION of the reunion of 2 of Restif's novels, enlarged, entirely reworked and recast together to form a set of 462 letters. The work does not contain the 120 h.-t. figures included in this edition. Copy in well-executed pastiche binding. ¶ Lacroix, 251: "This edition, although dated 1784, did not see the light of day until February 1787.[...] This edition of Le Paysan et de la Paysanne fondus ensemble is very rare and is almost never found with the complete suite of engravings.
