Houot/Le Khan. Original drawing illustrating the heroine of T4 "Le conquérant". Signed and dated 1998. TBE+. A4 format
André Houot (1947) studied Fine Arts in Nancy before teaching in the Meuse region. He was a latecomer to comics, signing the first album in his "Chroniques de la nuit des temps" series with Fleurus in 1987. He continued the series at Le Lombard with three volumes, the last of which was reissued by Soleil in 1995. "Ars engloutie", the fifth volume, was published by Éditions Glénat in 1994. For Soleil, he began the "Le Khan" series in 1995 with scriptwriter Simon Rocca. The series now has five volumes. He then wrote and drew the "Septentryon" series, published in the Caractère collection by Éditions Glénat. Houot's brushwork combines finesse and precision, with rigor and dynamism.
