Domingo Alvarez (1942) is a Spanish artist. Barcelona-based cartoonist and illustrator associated with the Selecciones llustradas agency in the 60s and 70s, working mainly for the foreign market, with romantic and war comics for Fleetway and DC Thompson (Marilyn, Valentine, Roxy, Mirabelle, Commando), and also with some horror comics for Skywald (Psycho, Nightmare, Scream). In Spain, he has collaborated on publications such as Delta, Delta 99 and Gringo. He gradually drifted into cover illustration for the British and Scandinavian markets, and finally into figurative art painting, leaving the medium for good in 1975. Since the 1980s, he has held numerous solo exhibitions in which women are the main subject. His characters are permanent or renewed secrets.
