Jung/Kwaïdan. Original plate no. 38 from the T2 album "Setsuko", illustrating a superb action scene with impeccable rhythm and demonstrating the artist's technical mastery. Magnificent execution in highly decorative direct color. Very rare. India ink and watercolor. TBE+. 40 X 55 cm Jung's (1965) career took a decisive turn in 1987, when he met Marc Michetz, who introduced him to Spirou magazine. He then worked for a few months in Yslaire and Darasse's studio, and in 1991, Jung published the first of four volumes of Yasuda. With La jeune fille et le vent and its Asian universe, this heroïc-fantasy series is a return to his Korean origins, and the fantasy allows him to reinforce the evocative side of his drawing, particularly for the hero: the Wind. Kwaïdan is his first screenplay, a new 3-volume series that stands out for the beauty of its direct colors and the subtle, refined poetry that emanates from this Japanese tale. Between 2007 and 2016, he produced "Couleur de peau: miel", the voyage of the Phoenix in 2015, babybox in 2018 and 2 volumes of "Nos adotions", most recently in 2024.
