George Tuska (1916-2009) began his career in 1940 working for a number of studios, first Will Eisner's, then the Chesler shop. His series were published by Fiction House, Harvey Comics and Fox Comics. He sometimes draws the adventures of Captain Marvel. He then returned to work for Will Eisner, assisting him on The Spirit. In the late 1960s, he worked for Marvel Comics, mainly on Iron Man. He then moved to DC. From 1978, he signed Superman's adventures to his daily strip. He remained with the series until his retirement in 1993.
