This miniature depicts villagers surrounded by animals in an encampment in a rocky landscape. The two reclining figures at the bottom are probably Leila and Majnun. The hero Majnun, literally "mad" with love for Leila, is usually depicted shirtless, living as a hermit surrounded by animals in the wild.
