Engraved ivory sundial decorated with denticulated frieze bordering the outer frame and dials. Outer face with equinoctial dial 1-12 twice marking the half-hour and polar 8-12-4. Inside of lid with type II sundial graduated from 1 to 30 and 1-12 equinoctial dial engraved twice on ivory. Inner face of baseplate with azimuth dial graduated from 4-12-8 o'clock.
