STERNE (Louis) - Voyage sentimental, suivi de Lettres D'Yorick à Eliza et D'Eliza à Yorick. Lausanne, Chez Mourer Cadet, 1786; in-8, frontispiece, VIII-140 + frontispiece, 144 pp. old cardboard, smooth spine. Fair condition. Louis Sterne, actually Laurence Sterne, English novelist of the first half of the 18th century, studied at Cambridge & became an Anglican priest. His marriage failed. He traveled to France, where he met Elisabeth Drapier & wrote his Voyage sentimental. He died of tuberculosis in 1768, when the first two volumes were published. Consultant : Mr. Philippe HENRY
