Paris, Berger-Levrault & Cie Libraires-Éditeurs, 1902; large in-8 jesus, LXXIV-423 + VIII-1104 + 45 pl. hors-texte, VIII-916 pp. + 27 pl. hors-texte, bound in red half-maroquin, spines stamped in special gilt irons representing the Lorraine thistle, edges speckled. The 3 volumes, the first of which is edited by Lorraine artist and constitutes the original edition of this text. Many illustrations have been added to the text. We are therefore selling the volume of the first edition, followed by the 2 volumes of the Berger-Levrault edition. The author was a correspondent of the Institute, as well as Rector of the University of Strasbourg. Tome I. - From the origins to the death of Duke René II (1508). Volume II. - From the accession of Duke Antoine to the death of Henri II (1624). Volume III. - From the accession of Charles IV to the death of Stanislas and the reunion of Lorraine with France (1766). The best history of Nancy. A thorough and almost unsurpassable history. Add only the contemporary history of the last 100 years, and you have the entire history of the city of Nancy. Numerous illustrations in black and white and some in color, in text and out of text.
