MALOT (Hector) - La petite soeur. Paris, C. Marpon, 1885; in-4, 519 pp. + bookseller's catalog, publisher's red illustrated boards, smooth spine, gilt edges, boards printed in black and gold. Hector-Henri Malot, known as Hector Malot, was a French novelist. He was born on May 20, 1830 in La Bouille, not far from Rouen, and died on July 18, 1907 in Fontenay-sous-Bois. Hector Malot was the author of some sixty novels. The best-known today are his novels for children: Romain Kalbris, Sans Famille, En Famille.
