Three small Ottoman manuscripts, 19th century Manuscripts on paper in naskhi script with black and red inks, each illuminated in gold and polychrome. The first, a small prayer book Kitâb al-An'am, in Arabic with 9 lines of text, opens with a sarlow frontispiece decorated with a lambrequin trimmed with flowers. Sections and sentences separated respectively by gilded cartouches and discs. Final colophon decorated with gilded scrolls signed al-Hajj al-'Ubayd Ibrahîm and dated 1263 H / 1846. Modern blue-green percaline flap binding. 11 x 8 cm, dampstaining, accidents and stains; the second, a manuscript of 19 lines of text in osmanli opening with a sarlow frontispiece decorated with a lambrequin trimmed with flowers and several illuminations punctuating the text. In a gilded medallion at the end of the manuscript, date 1220 H / 1805 inscribed in red ink. An owner's name added later on the last page. Bound in black leather. 21 x 24.6 cm, wear, a few stains and freckles; the third, a collection of poetry entitled Diwân Yusrî with 17 lines of text in two columns, in osmanli, opening with a sarlow frontispiece decorated with a lambrequin trimmed with flowers. Date 1159 H / 1745 added later by another hand at the end of the manuscript. Hardcover binding with ebru marbled decoration on boards. 21.6 x 14.2 cm, wetness, stains, folds, minor restorations.
