Jug with floral decoration, Ottoman Turkey, Iznik, late 16th - early 17th century
Pitcher with pear-shaped body on a small truncated-conical foot, with a flared neck connected to the body by a curved handle. Siliceous ceramic with polychrome painted decoration on white slip under transparent glaze, of two friezes of blue rosettes alternating with red tulips, strongly curved on the body. These registers are framed by friezes of dots, semicircles and marbled decoration, the handle streaked with black lines.
Height: 21 cm
A few chips, mainly on the lip, which also shows a crack, minor restorations.
