Bronze aftabeh ewer, Iran, 9th - 12th century
An ewer on a small circular foot, with a pear-shaped body topped by a cylindrical neck with a projecting base and a flat lip. The neck is joined to the body by a curved, partly ringed handle, its flowered attachment surmounted by a globular poucier. Engraved decoration on the attachment and circles under the base.

Restorations, numerous stoppages, oxidation, concretions.
