Tile panel with court scene, Iran qâjâr, 19th century Panel of 20 siliceous ceramic tiles decorated with black lines depicting a court scene centered on the Sassanid king Bahram and a princely guest in conversation on a carpet, with musicians, a dancer and two cupbearers busy around them. The scene is captioned Majlis Bezam Bahrâm in a floral cartouche and surrounded by a frieze of floral scrolls on a blue background, punctuated at the four corners by medallions featuring a bust.
