Two ta'liq calligraphies, Iran qâjâr, 19th century
Calligraphies on paper in black ink in ta'liq script mounted on album pages, the first with fine colored borders and a wide blue margin with hatayi decoration illuminated in gold and polychrome, the second with a fine blue border with a broken white line and a floral margin illuminated in gold. The first inscribed with 7 horizontal lines of text in Arabic, the second inscribed with 15 oblique lines in Persian corresponding to the introduction to Sa'adi's Golestân.
Dim. calligraphy: 20.2 x 11.9 cm and 25 x 5.6 cm; dim. album pages: 38.9 x 27.4 cm and 27.8 x 10.5 cm
Some stains and wear, one enlargement on the second.
