Khanjar dagger, India, dated 1237 H / 1821
Dagger with curved wooden handle and curved double-edged steel blade with central edge. The heel is gold-inlaid with bifid palmette friezes and inscriptions on one side containing the date 1237 H / 1821. Wooden scabbard with embossed brass fittings and engraved scales, the central part covered with ochre velvet.
Length: 47.8 cm
Some wear and accidents, traces of oxidation on the blade, partially faded inlaid decoration.
