Long genoui dagger, Morocco, 19th century
Long, straight steel blade dagger with three lateral gutters, carved horn handle with a small low-titre silver trim at the end, silver guard engraved with a vegetal frieze and cross friezes. The wooden scabbard is sheathed with silver plates, hallmarked and engraved with a vegetal composition in interlacing, a red velvet patch in the center and two suspension rings on either side.
Length (without scabbard): 52.3 cm
Traces of corrosion on the blade, small missing silver plate on the handle and traces of glue at its base, damaged velvet piece.
