Georges Rouault
An exceptional artist, a wonderful grandfather
For more than half a century, Georges Rouault created five thousand works, many of which are in major collections and museums around the world.
For us, his grandchildren, he was above all a wonderful grandfather who, in our youth, came to spend his summer vacations with us. After mornings devoted to work, the daily walks were an opportunity for him to show us the changing colors of the landscape, and his comments were a joy for us. Decades later, we still remember those happy moments.
Today, we are pleased to present some of the paintings that illustrate this special relationship with our grandfather, which we have long admired.
