Set of 3 icons forming a triptych depicting in the center the Appearance of the Angel to the Myrophores before the empty tomb of Christ after his Resurrection, on the left Saint Basil of Caesarea and Saint Basil Mangazeïski, and on the right the Mother of God Source of Life. Tempera on wood. Northern Russia, late 18th century. The three panels are mounted in a later Renaissance-style gilded wooden frame in a larger frame of wood and red velvet. H. 15 x W. 13 cm (each icon); H. 29.5 x W. 56.5 cm (frame).
