Attached is a photo featuring Paul-Emile Naggiar (1883-1961), a French diplomat, and Tomáš Masaryk (1850-1937), first president of the Czechoslovak Republic. The photo bears the handwritten note on the back "Remise lettre créance à Masaryk, printemps 1935".

From June 3, 1935 to March 26, 1936, Paul-Emile Naggiar was French Minister Plenipotentiary to Czechoslovakia. During his stay in Prague, Naggiar attempted to reconcile France's two allies in Eastern Europe, Poland and Czechoslovakia.
