[Affaire Fualdès] - The Rodez intrigue. Infanticide imputed to Jausion. Bancal's dying confession. Episode forgotten in Madame Manson's memoirs. Paris, Plancher 1818. In-8° paperback, frontispiece, viii, 250 pp. one large folding color plate (Madame Manson's entry into Albi). According to an old bookseller's notice, this copy belonged to Jules Renard and is annotated in his hand in blue pencil, as was his custom. We note, for example, his commentary on the opening of the trial described on pages 71 and 72: "Mise en scène", and above all his personal judgment of the case, which he gives at the bottom of pages 158-159: "Some people had an interest in making not only Fualdès disappear, but also the assassins of Fualdès, and perhaps preferably the assassins of Fualdès. They had to be killed. Did Jules Renard also believe in the royalist plot? Ex-libris Franck Villard. Wear from use
